A little something about us and Haapsalu...
Haapsalu, an old spa and resort town, established over 740 years ago (1279) is considered one of the most beautiful small towns in Estonia.
As sea washes its shores from three sides, Haapsalu has become one of the most popular resorts in Estonia for centuries. The warm seawater and peaceful surroundings have been the main temptations of Haapsalu.
In summer Haapsalu comes to life due to many concerts and sports
activities. Nature lovers can spend hours up at the bird observation tower, watching many different bird species nesting at the Tagalahe coast.
The people of Haapsalu believe that our sunset is the most beautiful in the world. Our visitors can see the sun setting every night from either Paralepa or Vasikaholm beach. Seeing the golden sun fall into the glassy water in the evening is definitely a memorable experience.
Haapsalu has also been known for its cosy little cafes for centuries. There are a lot of cafes by the main (Karja) street and also by the seaside so whether going out for drinks or a cup of hot coffee and a slice of cake, there is definitely something for everyone.
The small and cosy Guest aparement Mesilane (The honeybee) in the old town of Haapsalu offers peaceful and comfortable stay for summer visitors. Mesilane Guest Apartment belongs to the Läänemaa gardening society and is situated on the shortest street of Haapsalu. The historical documents from the year 1797 note that this property once belonged to Fromhold Prinz, the mayor of Haapsalu. The guesthouse itself was built in 1895 and completely renovated in 2000 and our "Sunny room" was renovated in 2007.
The guesthouse is within the reach of travelers either by car or bicycles. For the night you can leave your bicycles safely in the house.
Inner yard is suitable for camping, parking and enjoying a warm summer's night. The nearest restaurants and shops are just a 5-minute walk away and it takes only 1 minute to walk to the lovely local beach.
We believe that spending the summertime outdoors with the people you love will create lovely memories. Therefore we do not have Wifi in our house. However, most cafes and restaurants in Haapsalu offer Wifi.
